英語村ニュース(10月第2週)

後期の英語村は、12月1日まで毎週木・金曜日の10:00-13:00、621教室（6号館）と４号館の間にあるオープンスペースで開催します。お昼しか来られない学生はランチ食べながらでもOKです。

4th Thursday English Village: October 12, 2017

木曜日の後期第4回目の英語村を開催しました。
Hi! It was great to see so many smiling faces at English Village today!

Here is a message from Georgia:

This week Michael came to the English village with me. In Japanese we would casually say 久しぶり. In English we say “long time no see”. Next week we will play a new game: Celebrity Quiz. Draw a random card from the box and tell us about the Japanese celebrity you drew. We will draw Western celebrities. It promises to be a fun conversational game.

4th Friday English Village: October 13, 2017

金曜日の後期第4回目の英語村を開催しました。It was Friday, the 13th, but all went well!

Malaurie’s report:

We talked about winter holidays and what kind of events there are. Unexpectedly, we ended up exchanging a lot about part-time jobs as it’s a great opportunity to do them for some students and about the Coming-of-Age ceremony* as it’s sometimes at the end of the holiday. We finished with a guessing game. Everyone had other people guess the words on their list with hints in English or gestures.

* Coming-of-Age ceremony – 成人式
