英語村ニュース(10月第3週)

後期の英語村は、12月1日まで毎週木・金曜日の10:00-13:00、621教室（6号館）と４号館の間にあるオープンスペースで開催します。お昼しか来られない学生はランチ食べながらでもOKです。

木曜日の後期第5回目の英語村を開催しました。
Hi! Please check Katrina’s special announcement about Halloween!

Katrina’s message:

We had a lot of fun this last English Village learning new words and terms. Have you heard the term sales pitch? Do you have a similar term in Japanese? What about the words aquaponics, acidity, volcanic, rotation? Can you guess the general topic we were discussing from these words?

Next week is Halloween at the English Village! Are you curious about the origin of this holiday that’s becoming popular in Japan? If so drop by next week for a Halloween special English Village.

5th Friday English Village: October 20, 2017

金曜日の後期第5回目の英語村を開催しました。

A message from Malaurie:

We talked about school’ festivals, exchanging different experiences, who is charge of what*, how it’s usually organized, and what makes a school festival special or fun. Also, we tried to explain Japanese words like koyasai and gakkyuin so we could understand the different perceptions in different cultures, as in France we don’t have a “school festival” like in Japan and as the student council has a bit different job. At the end, we played Pictionary, trying to make other people guess the words on the list each one had! But we wondered what a “fruit roll-up” was!
