オンライン英語村第5週目 （7月16日）

梅雨の最中ですが、英語村第5回目の週は数日晴れの日がありました。雨が降り続けるのも困りますが、晴れの日は夏の暑さと湿気が身体に堪えますよね。
ところで、皆さんは「湿度が高い」を英語で表現することができますか。Katrina 先生が下のエッセーで便利な2つの単語を紹介してくれています。ぜひ読んで確認してみてくださいね。

Isn’t it wonderful that we now have sunny days? It is now hot and humid! Isn’t it funny that we found something new to complain about? (In this case funny means odd.)

Here’s another word to use instead of humid: muggy.
I dislike this muggy weather.
